Performance Management

Developing a culture of superior performance on behalf of our students requires deep and sustained commitment. At CPS, we call that commitment performance management (PM).

PM integrates strategic planning, collaborative learning, and accountability to ensure we are continuously learning and improving. A good PM process helps us do four things:

1.    Gain a clear picture of performance

2.    Drill down to understand the root causes of performance

3.    Develop action plans that address those causes

4.    Reflect and follow up

If we do these things well—and continuously—we ensure that every school and every student can succeed.  To see and understand PM in action, read more about PM in the downloadable pdf available here PDF icon..
