Alicia Winckler
Chief Talent Officer
Alicia Winckler is the Chief Talent Officer for Chicago Public Schools. She has over 15 years of professional experience, including 11 years leading human capital management in large and complex organizations. Most recently, Alicia led Talent and Human Capital for Sears Holdings Stores and was responsible for the design and delivery of all human capital strategies for over 200,000 employees and 3300 geographically dispersed stores. Prior to that, she led Global Organization Effectiveness for Coca Cola Enterprises – spanning North America and Europe. Alicia has held multiple roles as a senior human resource generalist and has led the development and implementation of best practice talent management systems, ensuring alignment with overall organizational goals. She has demonstrated the ability to engage in human capital needs identification, forming strategic and diverse partnerships and creating the appropriate solutions to meet multiple and sometimes competing demands.
A resident of Chicago for over 10 years, Alicia grew up in South Dakota where her mother was a teacher and father was a social worker. She and her family have always been socially involved and have a very strong commitment to education. Alicia earned her master’s degree in Industrial Organizational Psychology from the University of Colorado at Denver and received her B.S. in Psychology and Alcohol and Drug Abuse Studies from the University of South Dakota.
