Oliver Sicat
Chief Portfolio Officer
Oliver Sicat is the district's newly appointed Chief Portfolio Officer. Before accepting his position at CPS, Oliver was the founding principal of UIC College Prep, a Noble Street Charter School. In 2011, the first year their juniors took the ACT exam, UIC College Prep became the highest performing non-selective school in Chicago. Formerly, Sicat has taught mathematics in Los Angeles, Boston and Chicago.
In the beginning of his career, he worked to create successful after school programs for students, leading to the launch of Emagine, an innovative college preparatory program for under-resourced students. In 2006, he was recognized as one of Boston's teachers of the year by the Boston Public Schools. Oliver holds a B.S from the USC Rossier School of Education and an Ed.M from Harvard University.
