August 01 Collaborate Chicago -- Common Core Standards

On August 1, at the UIC Forum, hundreds of teachers from across Chicago will come together with educational leaders from around the country, to learn about the Common Core Standards, share curricula and best practices, and network with each other. The event will unite teachers, the Chicago Public Schools and the Chicago Teachers Union around improving teaching and learning for all of our students.

September 19 All CPS Schools Re-Open
Chicago Teachers Union leadership has chosen to end the strike.  All Chicago Public Schools will re-open on Wednesday, September 19, and all CPS students are expected to be back in the classroom.  Continue to check back at cps.edu for more information.

Parents, guardians, students and community members are invited to learn more about Chicago's public school options, including charter schools, by attending the New Schools EXPO 6.0, presented by New Schools for Chicago and Chicago Public Schools. The event takes place from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec.8, indoors at Soldier Field (United Club Level One, 1410 South Museum CampusDrive).
