About Our Office
On a daily basis, the Office of Communications
:
- Promotes CPS news, issues, events and handles media inquiries
- Coordinates news media interviews for CPS staff and top officials
- Coordinates press conferences and special events
- Drafts news releases and media advisories, about CPS
issues and events
- Videotapes and edits schools-related television and video productions
- Creates graphic designs that assist communications efforts
- Writes speeches and remarks for top administrators
- Develops advertising for departments throughout the system
- Buys and places CPS advertising in the media
In addition, our office:
- Produces the "CPS Right Now! " television program, which highlights
news about the CPS community.
- Works with the School Board President, Chief Executive Officer, and
other chiefs and department heads on a daily basis to develop and ensure
that a clear and coherent message is developed and delivered
to internal and external audiences.
