Did you know?

• Over 100 schools have active Green Teams and clubs, including Chicago Conservation Clubs 
• All new CPS schools and additions are designed to meet LEED Silver green building standards
• Students can earn Service Learning hours for environmental activities
• You can include environmental education  in all areas of classroom study

What can I do?

• Start or join a Green Team  at your school
• Create a "green" vice president on the Student Council, elected by students
• Help organize a Family Eco-Night or Eco-Assembly
• Talk to your principal about using green vendors and buying green office supplies
• Incorporate environmental education lesson extensions into your current curriculum
• Take the $800 Savings Challenge  in Chicago's Climate Action Plan 
• Review the Assessment of Environmental Programming  in Chicago Public Schools
