Dozens of CPS kindergarten students will get to learn in new libraries this year.
On Monday, Oct. 6, 2008, Board President Rufus Williams and Erinn Cosby, sister of the late Ennis Cosby and daughter of actor-author-activist Bill Cosby, delivered books to establish kindergarten libraries at nine CPS schools.
The Hello Friend/Ennis William Cosby Foundation was started by family members to honor Ennis, who was training to become a teacher at the time of his tragic death in 1997.
In total, 24 classroom libraries in nine different CPS schools will receive books provided by the foundation:
- Copernicus, 6010 South Throop Street
- Banneker, 6656 South Normal Boulevard
