More than 450 students from Curie Metro High School were recognized for their participation in Freshman Connection, a new CPS initiative that this summer, for the first time ever, made enrichment activities available to all incoming CPS freshmen, in their future high schools.
Curie was the CPS high school with the largest number of students participating in Freshman Connection. Across the district, 14,650 students attended Freshman Connection during the four weeks that it was offered. A total of 95 high schools, 900 youth leaders and 500 teachers participated.
