SES Registration October 29, 2012 - November 21, 2012
Overview
Supplemental Educational Services (SES) is a component of Title I of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) as reauthorized by the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Act. SES provides additional academic instruction, specifically in reading, math, and science outside of the regular school day to increase the academic achievement of students in low-performing schools.
SES is available to all low-income students (based on the free/reduced lunch standard) who attend a school that has not made adequate yearly progress for two consecutive years or more. Students receive this service at no cost to the parent/guardian or school.
SES programs are offered by private tutoring companies and the district. SES serves grades first to twelfth, and is also available to Special Education students and English Language Learners.
SES REGISTRATION will begin when school begins! Contact your local school administration for more information in addition to a SES registration form and parent handbook.
SES Provider Fairs afford parents the opportunity to interact with approved SES providers of all delivery types and inquire about provider tutoring services in additions to utilizing the SES Parent handbook that included Every provider's detailed program descriptions. Inquire with your school appointed SES Coordinator for your provider fair date. All provider fairs will take place during the SES Registration period.
SES is 100% Parent choice!
