The CPS Performance, Remediation and Probation Policy (or "Performance Policy") is the District's accountability policy. Schools earn points for various levels of performance and progress on a wide range of metrics and are then assigned to a performance level (1, 2, or 3) based on the number of points earned. The Performance Policy is used to determine the Probation status for CPS schools.

Performance Policy Calculator
The calculator is a tool to help schools identify the targets needed to achieve a given level. Users can enter a school’s current data and projected data for the next two years to see what the school's rating will be if they achieve the projected scores. Please note that the metrics and benchmarks used in this calculator are based on 2010-2011 and 2011-2012 Performance Policies and may change. The simulated results of this calculator are for planning purposes only.
