Academic achievement is rising at CPS, with higher attendance rates, higher test scores, climbing graduation rates, and thousands more of our graduates earning college degrees than they did a decade ago. This progress is impressive, and is a tribute to the hard-working educators, parents, and students who’ve committed to their classrooms.
Continuing to meet and exceed these trends is our priority. To do that we must ensure our approach is holistic: our curriculum must evolve to include the 21st century skills demanded by today’s employers, our educators must be supported and empowered, and our schools must be safe and supportive learning environments for all students.
