Finance Academies 

Overview

The Academy of Finance program is a nationally approved, four-year college preparatory program designed to help high school students who are interested in a finance career. The program operates under the umbrella of the National Academy Foundation.

Goals

  • Enable students to succeed in the college/university and financial career of their choice
  • Supplement the academic curriculum with mentoring and workplace experiences

Program benefits

  • Finance-related courses are offered such as financial planning, banking, insurance, international finance and accounting
  • Earn up to 12 tuition-free college credit hours and obtain paid internships
  • Partners include Citibank, Nuveen Investments, the Federal Reserve, and the Illinois Council on Economic Education
