Overview
The Academy of Finance program is a nationally approved, four-year college preparatory program designed to help high school students who are interested in a finance career. The program operates under the umbrella of the National Academy Foundation.
Goals
- Enable students to succeed in the college/university and financial career of their choice
- Supplement the academic curriculum with mentoring and workplace experiences
Program benefits
- Finance-related courses are offered such as financial planning, banking, insurance, international finance and accounting
- Earn up to 12 tuition-free college credit hours and obtain paid internships
- Partners include Citibank, Nuveen Investments, the Federal Reserve, and the Illinois Council on Economic Education
