Overview
In the Law and Public Safety Academies, high school students prepare for careers in law, criminal justice and corporate security. Housed in four high schools (Hirsch Metropolitan, Mather, Richards Academy, and Wells Community Academy), the program combines academic and vocational instruction with field experiences, job shadowing, mentoring and paid internships. The academies also feature guest speakers, portfolio preparation, competitions and special projects.
