Mayor Daley's High School Book Club 

Overview

Mayor Daley’s High School Book Club provides outstanding extracurricular reading opportunities for 7th-12th graders. The American Library Association has recognized the book club as an exemplary after-school program for young adults in the United States. Students in the MDBC program read selected books and gather for book discussions and activities after school with a librarian or teacher facilitator.

Goals

  • Provide avenues for students to experience pleasure in reading, self-expression and personal growth
