Every CPS student has a neighborhood high school. Each neighborhood school has an attendance boundary. Generally, all students who live within this area may attend the school; they do not have to apply.

Acceptance criteria

For Open enrollment schools:

  • Students who live within the attendance boundary do not need to submit an application
  • Out-of-attendance area students may apply and will be randomly accepted for available spaces through a computerized lottery.
