Overview
|
John Hancock High School provides a nurturing environment that encourages students' intellectual, social, and emotional growth, while fostering a spirit of independence. Hancock's smaller environment enables teachers to focus on developing individuals of integrity, knowledge, and character. Students at Hancock develop leadership skills as they partake in activities, community involvement, and a variety of programs designed to help them become competent and critically conscious citizens. The academic program includes special education, ESL and bilingual classes, regular- and honors-level classes in all core subjects plus Spanish language, and a variety of Advanced Placement (AP) courses are also offered.
