Lane Tech is known as the School of Champions. Founded as an all boys manual training school in 1908, Lane became a college prep school in the 1960s. Girls were admitted in 1971. Lane's excellent academic and athletic reputation is based on a long history of outstanding students, dedicated staff, diligent parents and community support.
