Overview
|
Curie has three magnet components including the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years and Diploma Programme, Fine Arts Program, and Vocational Program. Curie offers intensive four-year specialty programs in performing and technical arts. Honors-level courses are available for qualified students. Advanced Placement (AP) classes are offered in English, U.S. History, European History, biology, chemistry, environmental science, calculus, Spanish, psychology, statistics, and art. English Language Learners programs are offered in Chinese and Spanish. Marine Corps Junior Reserve Officers Training Corp (JROTC) is available. Curie is the first high school in Illinois to have a student-run bank branch located in the building. The school partners with Park Federal Savings Bank, Stanford University, and The Sargent Shriver National Center on Poverty Law.
