Overview

Bass strives to help students make gains in academic achievement. Academic programs include Success for All Reading Model, Everyday Math, Connected Math, Chicago Math & Science Initiative, and Accelerated Reader. To enhance classroom curriculum, Bass partners with organizations such as Service for Peace Chicago, University of Chicago Hospitals, the Black Star Project, Real Men Read Program and the Community School Initiative.

"A Community of Hope and Respect" was adopted by the Bass learning community to indicate its dedication and determination for striving towards excellence with an emphasis on literacy, mathematics, and science. Bass students continue to demonstrate academic achievement through school-based activities, district-wide competitions and community partnerships.
