Overview
|
Michele Clark offers the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma and Middle Years Programmes for qualified students. Clark's mission is to become one of Chicago's premier high schools by providing all students with high quality instruction, outstanding academic programs, and comprehensive student development supports to prepare them for the challenges of a global society. Honors-level classes are available in English, world studies, U.S. history, biology, chemistry, algebra, and Spanish. Advanced Placement (AP) courses are available in biology, English literature, psychology, statistics, and U.S. History. The Fine Arts Program offers courses in vocal and instrumental music, art, computer imaging, multimedia art, and Gallery 37. The Practical Nursing Program is open for 11th-grade students; Career and Technical Education (CTE), courses are offered as well as the Work Experience and Career Exploration Program (WECEP).

Clark is the first Chicago public school to serve students in Grades 6-12. We have an International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme and IB Diploma Programme. Clark students benefit from our strong partnerships with 100 Black Men of Chicago, GEAR UP, Northeastern Illinois University, the University of Chicago, and the Chicago Bulls.
