Overview

Dett offers a Math and Science Magnet Program and participates in the Chicago Math & Science Initiative. Its math and science programs feature a hands-on, inquiry-based approach to learning. Dett's reading programs are based on the Chicago Reading Initiative and offer a balanced approach to literacy. Dett's students have access to the Internet through both a computer lab and in every classroom. The school's partners include University of Minnesota Project Northland, Catholic Charities, and James Jordan Boys & Girls Club.
