Kick Off to Kindergarten & Preview to Pre-K

Kick Off to Kindergarten and Preview to Pre-K programs give students a chance to learn, grow, and make new friends before school begins on August, 18, 2025. Both programs help students acclimate to their CPS classroom and to their CPS school prior to the start of the school year.

Kick Off to Kindergarten (5 year olds)

 June 22 to July 16, 2026

Kick Off to Kindergarten is a free summer program for students who will be in Kindergarten (turning 5 years old before September 1, 2026) in the 2026-2027 School Year. This program will focus on early literacy, early math, and social-emotional skills.

Kick Off to Kindergarten is a five hour program that runs for four weeks and meets Monday through Thursday for 5 hours a day. The program will be available at select schools. Students are only eligible to attend Summer 2026 Kick Off to Kindergarten at the school where they are enrolled to attend Kindergarten in School Year 2026 - 2027.

Preview to Pre-K (3 and 4 year olds)

 June 22 to July 16, 2026

Preview to Pre-K is a free summer program for students who will be in Pre-K (turning 3 years old before September 1, 2026) in the 2026-2027 School Year. This program will focus on early literacy, early math, and social-emotional skills.

Preview to Pre-K is a five hour program that runs for four weeks and meets Monday through Thursday for 5 hours a day. The program will be available at select schools.
