Parent University meetings are held monthly and are open to the general public. Meetings are recorded. These meetings provide empowering learning experiences to the parents/guardians of students with disabilities to help them support their child’s academic success, further their own education, and promote advocacy for their student with a disability.
Parent Universities offer parents, guardians, and community members access to learning experiences on a broad array of topics at CPS school sites across the city. These training sessions are offered at no cost. Past topics include an overview of the Individualized Education Program (IEP), executive functioning, compensatory education, and other special education related topics.
