Meet Three Fantastic Members of the Graham Elementary School Class of 2025
06 June 2025
Khloey, Michael, and London are each leaving behind an extremely positive legacy in elementary school.

We have so many exceptional soon-to-be graduates this year in CPS, including three terrific students from Alexander Graham Elementary School on Chicago’s South Side. Khloey, Michael, and London are each leaving behind an extremely positive legacy in elementary school. One quality these students share is resilience—they have demonstrated how to overcome challenging circumstances by taking advantage of support and guidance from those around them.
In particular, they have each developed a close relationship with their counselor, Ms. Storr. She believes that each of these students will build on what they have accomplished in elementary school as they continue working toward their ultimate goals.
We had the wonderful opportunity to speak with these three students about what they have learned over the years at Graham and their thoughts on starting high school. Get to know each of them more below.
What are some of your interests both inside and outside of the classroom?
Michael and Khloey share similar interests. Both of them mentioned math and gym as subjects that they enjoy. In math, they note that they’ve been learning about slope, graphing, and other key algebra concepts. Outside of school, they both enjoy playing football. London enjoys math as well, and her extracurricular pursuits are extremely diverse—she plays both the violin and guitar, and she’s also part of the volleyball, basketball, and flag football teams.
Can you share some of your favorite memories related to Graham?
For Michael and Khloey, memories of field trips will always be something they look back on positively. In particular, Michael looks fondly on attending a White Sox baseball game with his school, an experience made even more memorable when he appeared on the big screen. London will always remember the conversations she had with the staff at Graham. She says that they made her feel very comfortable and welcome at the school.
How are you feeling about starting high school?
Michael is attending Back of the Yards College Preparatory High School next year. Because he is looking to pursue a career as an engineer, he is looking forward to pursuing the school’s programs related to that field.
Khloey is headed to Mansueto High School. She is excited to meet new people. Her approach to making new friends is to stay positive and kind by giving them compliments and using conversation starters to learn more about them.
London is off to Air Force Academy High School. She is excited about pursuing a pathway that will take her first to the military, then to college, and then toward her ultimate career goal of becoming a lawyer.
What advice would you give to Graham’s future eighth-graders?
London wants to encourage these students not to be afraid to pursue what they are passionate about. Khloey believes that it’s important to stay locked in and focus. Michael agrees, adding that continuing to work hard is how you will maintain good grades and end the year strong.
If you could sum up your time at Graham in one word, what would it be?
Michael: Fun!
Khloey: Excellent.
London: Peaceful.
