New, Revolutionary CPS Security Officer Training 2012-2013

Chicago Public Schools is looking to be more proactive in how we approach safety in our schools. In the past, the role of the School-based Security Officer has focused more on responding to situations and incidents as opposed to getting in front of issues and mitigating them even before an incident even begins.

This summer, CPS Office of Safety and Security is proud to provide training that will clarify the new role and expectations of the CPS Security Officer and provide each employee with new strategies and techniques that will help them be successful in their jobs.

CPS School-based Full Time Security Officers: If you haven’t received a personalized letter with your assigned training session dates, please call the Office of Safety and Security – 773-553-3030.

Sessions will be held every week through the summer. The first session starts July 16, 2012! Attendance is mandatory for all school-based full time security officers.
