Safe Haven Sites
For over 10 years, the Safe Haven Program has kept CPS kids safe, healthy, and active during spring and summer breaks as well as after school. The program incorporates social-emotional learning, academic assistance, and fun. Additionally, students get healthy meals and snacks at no cost to their families. Sites are open April 11 to 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

COVID-19 Testing
CPS will not be performing in-school COVID-19 testing when students are out of school. Testing will resume when students return to school on April 18.

The city of Chicago and its partners provide low- or no-cost COVID-19 testing.

CONSULT WITH YOUR HEALTHCARE PROVIDER
Contact your insurance plan provider to find out what types of tests are covered and at what locations. If you are a CPS family and have questions about your insurance plan, contact the Office of Student Health & Wellness at 773-553-KIDS (5437).

Self-tests are available in many pharmacies, stores, and online. Call or check online before heading to the store.

COVID-19 Vaccination
CPS will not be holding vaccine events while students are out of school. Vaccine events will resume when students return to school on April 18. CPS is partnering with ACCESS Community Health Network to provide vaccine opportunities over Spring Break.

The City of Chicago is operating multiple vaccination sites. No Government issued ID or insurance required.

FIND A COOK COUNTY VACCINATION SITE
All Cook County Health vaccine sites now offering the Pfizer vaccine for kids ages 5+. Booster shots are available for those age 12+.

In-home vaccination is available to all Chicago households and anyone age 5 and up is eligible to receive a vaccine. Up to 10 people can be vaccinated at a time.
