Remote Learning Packets

CPS has prepared standards-aligned activities to support student learning while schools are closed due to COVID-19. These Remote Learning Packets include a range of projects that students can work on independently or with help from an adult. Elementary Remote Learning Packets are organized by grade level. High School Remote Learning Packets are organized by Course. All Remote Learning Packets will be available in English and Spanish and will be posted bi-weekly throughout the remainder of the closure.

Students may work through these projects over multiple days and in any order. Projects are designed to meet the Remote Learning instructional minutes guidelines by grade band. If you are unable to print these materials or use them digitally, you can go to any school-based food distribution site and pick up a printed packet.

Cluster Program Packets

Non-digital cluster program packets are intended for students who require a significantly modified curriculum and attend a CPS cluster program. These packets are available in addition to any digital resources or individually developed remote learning materials created by IEP teams for individual students.

Students and families should receive a packet for the student's current grade level (i.e. a 4th grade student would receive a Grades 3-5 cluster packet). Each grade band packet contains a family letter introducing the packet to the family, a menu of home activities to support engagement and enrichment during remote learning, as well as the remote learning activities. The activities are sourced from a specialized learning curriculum called Unique and are based on Common Core State Standards. In alignment with other materials on this page, new non-digital cluster packets will be available biweekly.

Enrichment Packets

CPS has also prepared additional enrichment activities to support student learning while schools are closed due to COVID-19. These packets include a range of activities that students can work on independently or with help from an adult. New enrichment activities will be added bi-weekly throughout the remainder of the closure.

Supplemental Resources

Each school has been invited to augment and supplement the materials provided here. Be sure to contact your child’s teacher to learn of additional resources.
