The Accelerate Institute is thrilled to offer fully funded/no cost school improvement and leadership development support options for up to 20 CPS schools thanks to the generous support of a local funder.

Accelerate Institute’s Leadership Academy is a one-year cohort experience focused on deepening participants’ understanding of how school leaders create a high-quality education for children based on three (3) core principles of what schools need:

1. Systems, structures, and adult mindsets that align with the expectation that all students will achieve.
2. A positive, relationships-based culture that fosters student belonging and is conducive to high levels of achievement.
3. Instruction that centers on what (and which) students learned, with support to make high achievement possible.

What does the Leadership Academy experience include?
This one-year program is grounded in a virtual cohort experience (so there are no travel costs) and is a mix of live virtual classes with the cohort, strategic plan development, one-on-one Advisory support, and independent exercises aligned to a leader’s current role and work. Leaders grapple with content in small groups as well as assess and reflect on the current state of their school and their own personal leadership skills in order to develop proficiency in tools and practices that drive student outcomes. All Leadership Academy participants also have full access to the Accelerate Online platform.
