The Instructional Team Coach is a partially released full-time teacher with a track record of strong instructional practice who seeks to expand impact at their school by facilitating peer coaching. They lead one or more teams of teachers through learning cycles, maintain a Model Classroom, and serve as a member of the Instructional Leadership Team (ILT).
Instructional Team Coaches receive a $3,000 stipend annually. The stipend is paid in two payments ($1,500 per semester). To qualify for the centrally funded stipend, Instructional Team Coaches must attend 75% of district-sponsored professional learning specific to the role, meet with the assigned Distributed and Supportive Leadership Specialist (DSLS) or lead ILT member monthly 75% of the time, confirm 1:1 coaching for members of the team they lead, and provide confirmation of ILT membership.
There is a centralized application process to determine the eligibility pool of Instructional Team Coaches. Eligibility is valid for two years. Principals ultimately make all staffing decisions.
