Whitney Young Named CPS Decathlon City Champs

Whitney Young’s Academic Decathlon team has been named the new CPS Academic Decathlon City Champions.

Whitney Young’s Academic Decathlon team has been named the new CPS Academic Decathlon City Champions.
The championship took place Feb. 17 at Whitney Young High School. The school, along with seven CPS schools, advanced to the Academic Decathlon State Competition, which will be held at Northeastern Illinois University March 10.
The following teams are advancing to the State Competition (in order of ranking):
Whitney Young (1st) Amundsen
Lane Tech (2nd) Chicago High School for Agricultural Sciences
Schurz (3rd) Mather
Northside Von Steuben
