A Note of Appreciation to our Teachers

In celebration of Teacher Appreciation Week, we want to thank all of our teachers for their dedication and commitment to our students. As proud CPS graduates, we can personally attest to the profound impact teachers have on their students and school communities.
The course of our lives were changed because of CPS teachers who took time from their busy days to help, mentor, and guide two young students through school. It was a word of encouragement on a particularly tough day. It was getting pulled aside when we weren’t meeting their high expectations. It was small, meaningful nudges here and there—and it all added up and mattered to us.
Teachers matter. Without you, the dreams we have for our city’s children simply would not be possible.
You wear more hats than any of us can count, and you deserve to be recognized for your service. Hundreds of thousands of children’s lives are made better because of the work you do every single day.
You are loved and supported by your District and school communities, not just this week, but every week of the year. We are grateful to have you in our District and thank you for the work you have done to help our students thrive.
Enjoy this week, and please know how lucky we feel to count you among the CPS family.
Sincerely,
Janice K. Jackson, Ed.D |
