Since 2022-2023, the number of students living in the Bronzeville / South Lakefront region has increased by 794 students (5.1%). Within that, the K-8 population has increased by 662 students (6.8%), while the 9-12 population has increased by 187 students (3.8%).

In comparison, the overall district population has decreased by 1.8% during the same period. The K-8 population has decreased by 1.4% and the 9-12 population has decreased by 3.4%.

Since 2022-2023, the number of students enrolling in the Bronzeville / South Lakefront region has increased by 39 students (0.2%). In the Bronzeville / South Lakefront region, there are 1,180 Pre-K seats, 75% of which are in full-day programs and 25% in half-day programs.

In the Bronzeville / South Lakefront region, there were 824 students enrolled in Pre-K as of the 20th day of school (September 15, 2025), 80% of which were in a full-day program. 73% of Pre-K students were 4-year-olds, while 28% were 3-year-olds. Pre-K students continue to enroll over the course of the school year.
