Mathematics Kindergarten

This course focuses on representing and comparing whole numbers and describing shapes and space. Throughout Kindergarten, developing number sense is a key instructional focus. Kindergarten students will describe and compare attributes; understand the relationship between numbers and quantities; compare quantities with counting; identify, describe, classify and compose shapes; develop number relationships between and among numbers 1-10; explore parts and wholes of numbers; and build a foundation of place value.
