Course Overview
Skyline Social Science Grade 7: U.S. History: The Diverse Story of the United States, covers US history from its indigenous roots, to the Declaration of Independence, to the emergence of the country as a global power in the early 20th century. Students will explore how the identity of the United States was shaped, challenged, and expanded by those who lived here, moved here, or were forced here, and how the nation's history and diversity influence their own stories and perspectives today.

Introducing the Revised Skyline Social Science Curriculum

Expect stronger alignment to the CPS Social Science Culturally Responsive Inquiry Arc Framework, a cross-disciplinary approach with Skyline ELA, and improvements based on teacher and student feedback.
