Social Science Kindergarten

Course Overview

In this course, students explore how their sense of self is shaped by experiences in their social world, including their classroom, family, and community. Students investigate themes of identity, diversity, cooperation, and civic agency as they learn about significant people, places, and events of the past and of the present, and begin to use tools such as primary sources and maps to learn about the world around them and to understand that people view the world from many different points of view.
