Course Overview
Skyline Social Science High School II: United States History is focused on post Reconstruction US History (1876-today). Within this course, students will engage in interdisciplinary investigations of the development and legacy of chattel slavery and the genocide of First Peoples, the promises and limitations of the Constitution, and how power is used and resisted. An examination of contemporary American issues and politics will encourage a greater understanding of how a global economy impacts social, ethnic, and racial groups in the United States.

Introducing the Revised Skyline Social Science Curriculum

Expect stronger alignment to the CPS Social Science Culturally Responsive Inquiry Arc Framework, a cross-disciplinary approach with Skyline ELA, and improvements based on teacher and student feedback.
