Rod out all roof drains and systems in areas of work back to the nearest manhole. Video when history of flooding / slow drainage / associated structural damage has been reported by users / staff. Video shall include report, digital copy of footage and layout with sizes of piping televised on current floor plan / site plan. Prior to design and after construction is completed.
If video shows breaks or other issues causing leaking or backflow, repairs or modifications to the system may be required. These may include piping replacement, resizing, addition of collection basin capacity or pumping systems, or addition of a backflow prevention manhole in cases where the city system is backing up into the school.
