9.2.11 School Intercommunication Systems

Program Statement

The Contract Documents shall provide for a user-programmable, multichannel, microprocessor-switched, centrally controlled school intercommunication and program system that has the capability of being interfaced with a VoIP telephone system. The system shall be complete with classroom speakers and call-in push-button stations, administrative handsets, attendant’s consoles, corridor paging speakers, program speaker tones, central control equipment, raceways, and wiring. Wiring for the school intercommunication system shall be installed in its own conduit. A 1” conduit linking the VoIP and Intercom head end equipment shall also be provided. Headend to be connected to the CPS enterprise network so it is remotely accessible. Where the vendor has our enterprise server it should be connected to that server. CPS will provide network switches where applicable to the installing vendor for the headend device in coordination with ITS.
