Department of Literacy: Libraries
CPS Libraries and Instructional Technology provide support for school libraries, teacher librarians, library staff, and print and digital resources districtwide. We also act as the district's liaison to the Chicago Public Library.
School libraries have changed a lot over the years, but they remain an important hub in the school to support reading, learning, and research. Students can browse shelves of print books to find topics of interest to them. They can use computers, mobile devices, and other technologies to access online resources and create digital resources to share their learning. School libraries are a place to read, collaborate, design, and share.
