Pre-K (Ages Birth – 5)
A high-quality pre-K experience that provides educational and development activities is critically important. It helps young children develop and practice the social-emotional, problem-solving, and academic skills that will put them on the path to success in school and life.
Elementary (Grades K – 8)
In CPS elementary schools, we focus on allowing children to develop social skills as well as cognitive and thinking skills. We strive for academic excellence, while noting the importance of making school a fun environment to learn in. Every elementary school works to understand each child and create an environment where children can learn and grow.
High School (Grades 9 – 12)
In addition to the general education program at neighborhood high schools, CPS offers more than 160 programs across the city to meet the academic interests and needs of all students. All high schools provide college and career planning services and support to prepare students for life after graduation.
Grade Levels Served
Our schools offer diverse curriculum and programs with high academic standards, instructional supports, and extracurricular activities for every child in every neighborhood from pre-K through 12th grade.
