Sports

CPS sports programs provide all students—regardless of race, gender, or ethnicity—opportunities to develop physically, mentally, and emotionally in controlled, safe activities outside of the traditional classroom.

Introducing CPS Athletics, a New Website for All Things Sports

Beginning School Year 2022-23, we are launching CPS Athletics, a new website for Chicago Public League High School Athletics and Elementary CPS SCORE! Sports programming. The new website ensures our school communities have a central point of access to the latest information about sports registration, schedules, scores, feature stories, announcements, photo galleries and more. With the new CPS Athletics website, our community will have instant digital access to all athletic schedules and content for the first time. We are excited to use this new space to showcase the incredible achievements of all our students, coaches and programs.

In addition to our new website, you can follow our Twitter account @CPLathletics for the latest information regarding our sports programming.

Enriching Students, Schools and Communities

Organized sports offer students an opportunity to develop a sense of belonging, self-worth, and confidence. Studies have shown that student participation has a positive effect on school performance, adolescent development, and fitness.
