Full-time substitute teachers in CPS (three or more days per week) receive long-term school placements, a steady paycheck, full healthcare benefits, paid holidays, and more. Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in any field and a substitute teaching license, which takes less than one week to obtain. Substitute teachers may also live outside the city of Chicago.
