Dear CPS Families, Staff, and Partners,
I want to thank everyone who has participated so far in our community feedback sessions around the CPS budget. The questions you’ve raised, along with your honest, thought-provoking insights, are moving us closer to solving the budget crisis facing our District as we approach the 2025-26 school year.
Valuable as this engagement has been, we know that not everyone in our CPS community will be able to attend these sessions. So now, in addition to attending the remaining community feedback sessions (see schedule below), you can share your thoughts with us through this brief budget survey.
This is your chance to share your concerns, ideas, and priorities around the CPS budget for the coming school year, which includes a $734 million budget gap that must be closed. A synopsis of our current budget situation, along with other resources to help you understand the budget, are available on our District’s budget website.
This survey will remain open through Friday, July 25 at 5 p.m. By sharing your thoughts, you can help CPS create a budget solution that will allow our students to build on their outstanding progress, both now and in the future.
For those who prefer to attend one of our remaining engagement sessions, the schedule is below. All sessions will include Spanish and ASL translation, and you should RSVP using the provided link.

Quiero agradecer a todos aquellos que han participado en nuestras sesiones de retroalimentación comunitaria sobre el presupuesto de las CPS.
