Growth in attendance is defined as the percentage of students who increased their average daily attendance rate by 3 percentage points or more from the previous year to the current year or obtained a 90% or greater average daily attendance rate in the current year.
Why This Matters
The focus on Options students and students attending schools located in detention centers is on growth. Growth in attendance data should be used to identify which schools need additional district resources and support to better meet the needs of students with low attendance growth rates.
