Partnerships & Engagement

Strong partnerships help schools run well. This section shows how teachers and staff work together inside the school and how the school builds relationships with families and communities. Together, these measures help families understand whether the school communicates clearly, welcomes parent involvement, and creates a culture where adults work as a team to support students.

This section focuses on adult collaboration and family partnership, not student connection or participation, which appear in the Connectedness and Wellbeing section.

How the Pieces Fit Together

  • Teacher collaboration (Collaborative Teachers) shows whether adults share ideas, plan together, and support each other in meeting students’ needs.
  • Family engagement shows how the school communicates with families and includes them in the learning process.

Together, they show whether the school is building the trusting relationships needed for students to learn and grow.

Example

If teachers report strong collaboration but families do not feel informed, families might ask how the school plans to strengthen communication and make involvement easier.
