A Message from the Principal

Welcome to Suder Montessori Magnet School! At Suder, we believe every child deserves to be known, valued, and challenged. Our public Montessori school serves students from prekindergarten through eighth grade in a community that nurtures curiosity, independence, and a lifelong love of learning. Developed by Dr. Maria Montessori, the Montessori approach recognizes that children learn through exploration, purposeful activity, and discovery. In thoughtfully prepared classrooms, students use hands-on materials to move from concrete experiences to deeper understanding. Mixed-age classrooms encourage collaboration and allow students to learn from one another, practice leadership, and grow at their own pace. Montessori combines freedom with responsibility. Students learn to make meaningful choices, manage their time, care for their environment, and work independently and with others. Teachers guide this process through careful observation and lessons that respond to students’ readiness and learning needs. Alongside academic learning, Montessori emphasizes respect, empathy, peaceful problem-solving, and our connections to the wider world. The strength of Suder is our people. Our educators, staff, and families work together to create a welcoming environment where students feel a sense of belonging. We value the experiences and perspectives each family brings and recognize that strong partnerships help children thrive. As principal, I am proud to be part of a community committed to helping children grow as confident learners, thoughtful leaders, and caring community members. Bosede Bada, Principal
