It's a wonderful day to soar high! Joseph Kellman Corporate Community School provides a rigorous, supportive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for students in Pre-K through 8th grade. Under new leadership starting School Year 2026-2027, Kellman is strengthening teaching and learning through a distributed leadership model that includes a Lead Instructional Coach and three Teacher Leader Coaches. Our instructional practices prioritize building collective efficacy and collaborative teacher planning for improving student outcomes. As a Technology Magnet Cluster School, Kellman integrates technology, digital learning, creativity, visual arts, and innovation across the student experience. Kellman is proud to introduce a new Primary Cluster Program for students with disabilities, expanding our ability to provide specialized instruction and individualized support for our youngest learners. Kellman is also excited to offer a new integrated Library & Arts Program, where literacy and creativity come together. Students develop a love of reading, strengthen research and inquiry skills, and extend their learning through art and creative expression. Students also have access to Full-Day Pre-K and Kindergarten, Digital Media Arts, Yoga, Technology, Social-Emotional Learning (SEL), after-school programming, and winning boys' and girls' sports programs. Students engage in a rigorous, standards-aligned curriculum designed to strengthen literacy, mathematics, critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and digital citizenship. Our high-quality curriculum includes Skyline for ELA, Social Studies, and Science and i-Ready for Mathematics. Kellman also provides targeted foundational literacy, MTSS Framework for interventions, and small-group academic support to meet the individual needs of students. Through strong community partnerships, students and families receive additional academic, social-emotional, attendance, enrichment, and family support. Partners include Partners Integrating Education (P.I.E.), Illinois Action for Children (IAC), Juvenile Protective Association (JPA), and Chapter One. Kellman is committed to developing the whole child by providing rigorous academics, inclusive learning opportunities, technology-rich instruction, creative and physical enrichment, social-emotional support, and opportunities for every student to discover their strengths and talents.
