Options schools are designed to provide a unique learning environment that offers accelerated credit attainment opportunities. Higher credit attainment rates are associated with older, off-track students’ ability to graduate sooner. For detention centers, higher credit attainment rates are associated with older, off-track students’ ability to successfully matriculate back into a traditional school from a detention center school.
