Avalon Park Fine and Performing arts is a dedicated community school that partners with Safe Schools Healthy Schools to provide vital academic, health, social, and counseling support. Demonstrating exceptional school culture and performance, the Academy boasts an impressive "all green" status across every single area of the 5Essentials survey, reflecting top-tier marks in supportive environment, ambitious instruction, effective leaders, collaborative teachers, and involved families. The school actively fosters student growth through tailored personalized learning, targeted tutoring, performing arts, and thriving athletic programs, including boys soccer and girls volleyball. While the school navigates a 29% student mobility rate, frequently welcoming transferring students who are one to two grade levels behind the staff works extra hard to close these opportunity gaps and accelerate achievement. Parents are heavily integrated into this supportive ecosystem through a dedicated Parent Room that focuses on "Connectedness and Parents' Wellbeing." Introducing an exciting new initiative, the "Parents Crew—Bring your Gifts to the Layover" invites parents to gather once a month to showcase their unique talents to the school. Through this program, a parent skilled in photography will teach students how to capture images, a parent who crochets will lead a textile craft circle, a tech-savvy parent will host a basic coding and game design workshop, and a culinary-minded parent will share healthy baking techniques. We pride ourselves on embracing our community as we all take flight together!
