Welcome to the 2026–2027 School Year! Dear Curtis Community, On behalf of the entire faculty and staff, it is my absolute privilege to welcome our returning families and new students to the 2026–2027 school year! We are thrilled to open our doors to another year filled with discovery, growth, and community. At Curtis, we are committed to creating an inclusive, challenging, and supportive environment where every student has the tools and encouragement needed to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Our dedicated educators have spent the summer preparing engaging curriculums and inspiring learning spaces designed to bring out the best in every child. Our work together is guided by our core purpose: Our Vision: George W. Curtis Elementary School’s vision is to empower students with the skills, knowledge, and mindset needed to excel in both their academic journey and future careers, ensuring their readiness for the challenges and opportunities of college and beyond. Our Mission: George W. Curtis Elementary School is dedicated to providing high-quality instruction that is enriched with comprehensive social-emotional learning, fostering an inclusive environment that ensures equitable opportunities for all students. Through this holistic approach, we empower students to excel academically and personally, enabling them to achieve lasting success in their diverse endeavors. Education is a partnership between the school, the home, and the community. We encourage parents and guardians to stay connected, participate in school events, and communicate regularly with teachers and staff. Together, we can ensure a successful and rewarding year for all our students.
